Leps Win Outright 26-3A Crown in 1-0 Thriller

For the first time in nearly a decade, the La Grange baseball team has won an outright, untied, district title. With a 1-0 victory in the regular season finale Tuesday night  against Cuero, the Leps finishedwith a 9-1 district mark to win the District 26-3A  crown – two  games ahead of second place Cuero.

Local Volleyball Team Headed to Junior Olympics

The Texstar 16-year-olds volleyball team based in Weimar competed in the Lone Star Classic National Qualifier April 18-20 in Dallas. They won first place to secure a bid to the 2014 Junior Olympics/ 35th Annual USA Volleyball Girls’ Junior National Championship to be held in Minneapolis MN., June 30 to July 3

Several Leopards Run Their Way to Regionals

The area track meet pitting the top athletes from District 25-3A and 26-3A against each other was held Wednesday in Sealy.
La Grange athletes did very well, with four Leps (J.K. Dobbins, Bralon Hutchison, Brennen Gillard and Ty Beseda) advancing to the regional meet and three Lady Leps relay teams and one individual (Kenzie Walker) also advancing.

Bludau Retiring as Schulenburg Football Coach, Athletic Director

Elles Just Misses Qualifying for State Golf Tourney

La Grange girls golfer Kayla Elles missed advancing to the state golf tournament by just a single stroke after two rounds
of play Monday and Tuesday at the Region IV-3A tournament in Corpus Christi. Elles, a senior, shot a twoday 175 to place sixth out of the 96 girls golfers at regional.

A big contingent of Lep and Lady Lep athletes are headed to the area track meet after finishing in the top four of their events

Leopards Blank Smithville 4-0

Last season, on the way to the state title, the La Grange baseball team didn’t officially clinch a playoff berth until the final day of the regular season. This 2014 version of the Leps wrapped up that postseason spot a little earlier.

Morgan Hurls Shutout On Senior Night for Lady Leps

The La Grange softball team has had bigger wins, but in terms of emotional victories, Friday’s 3-0 victory over Smithville
ranked pretty high for the five Lady Leps seniors. Friday’s win (La Grange’s 29th consecutive victory) marked the final regular season home game for seniors Abby Morgan, Alyssa Angel, Hannah Kalina, Madison Becka and Brianna

Leps Blast Gonzales 15-5 in Baseball

The stadium lights lost their electricity – but the Leps never did. The La Grange baseball team not only overcame Gonzales
in a 15-5 win Tuesday but also some electrical problems that cut the power to all the lights at the stadium for about 30 minutes in the middle of the game.
