Shorthorns Still Looking for First Win

The Schulenburg football team continues to look for its first win of the season after Friday’s 61-14 loss at East Bernard.
Schulenburg (0-4) could get little going on the ground against East Bernard, but among the bright spots for the Shorthorns was the passing game, which accounted for 134 of their 152 total yards. East Bernard improved to 3-1 with the win.

Leps Earning Lots of Statewide Respect

There is no question that the La Grange football team is getting a lot of state-wide respect after starting the season with
three consecutive wins over Liberty Hill, Columbus and La Vernia. And the Leps deserve every bit of that respect. That win  over Liberty Hill continues to look better and better because since that loss to La Grange the Panthers have beaten Brenham and Brownwood. In fact, all three of La Grange’s foes so far this season are undefeated – expect for when they’ve played the Leps
