Weimar Golf Course Ranked in Top 25

A 75 year-old golf course adjacent to US Highway 90 east of downtown Weimar has been ranked in the Top 25 among nine-hole facilities in Texas. Weimar Golf Club was found at the number 17 spot in an issue of the Dallas Morning News.

LG Intermediate Baseball All-Stars Win District Title

The La Grange Intermediate American League All-Star baseball team won their six-team district tournament with a 14-4 victory over Columbus Monday at White Rock Park. The La Grange boys went
4-1 in the tournament and now advance to the sectional tournament in Smithville.

Two Lady Leps Named All-State

The Texas Girls Coaches Association has named two La Granger players to the All-State team: Sophomore catcher Hatti Moore and junior pitcher Missy Zoch. Moore hit .418 with 51 hits, 46 runs and 37 RBIs with a .987 fielding percentage

Fayetteville Cyclones Take Second in Austin

The Fayetteville Cyclones basketball team participated in the Austin Tournament June 6 and 7 at
Akins High School. The girls placed 2nd in the 8th grade division. They were defeated by a 6A team from College Station. Players are front row; left to right, Julie Korenek, Gracie Dyer and Emma La peyre; back row, left to right, Stephanie Madden, Cloe Schulle, Amber Canik and Jade Wessels. Novak Named Title Game MVP

ROUND ROCK – With the game tied and the bases loaded in the seventh inning, there was maybe no one better to have at the plate for the Bulldogs than Casen Novak. The junior shortstop came
into the state tournament with a team-leading .440 batting average and it was his hit to left that scored the state championship winning run and touched off a wild celebration by the Flatonia players.
