Having a Ball

Officially the Harlem Ambassador basketball team beat the La Grange Optimist Showstoppers 69-31 Friday, but the real winners were the hundreds of local fans who turned out for the comedy basketball show, and the local seniors who will get college scholarships in part from proceeds raised at the event. Lady Buffs Too Strong for LG

With a chance to pull into a tie for second in district, one bad quarter ruined the Lady Leps’ chances Friday in a 34-24 basketball loss to Giddings. The La Grange girls matched Giddings bucket-for-bucket most of the night – except in a
second quarter when the Lady Buffs built a double digit lead they would never lose.
