Hot Start to District for Leps Baseball

The La Grange baseball team quickly established itself Tuesday as the favorite in the District 26-3A race. In their district opener in Gonzales, the Leps jumped all over the Apaches early and often in a 14-0 win that ended after five innings because of the 10- run mercy rule.

Stoelke Pitches No-Hitter & Hits for Cycle

Throwing a no-hitter is the ultimate accomplishment for a pitcher, while hitting for the cycle (getting a single, double,
triple and home run all in the same game) is one of the greatest accomplishments a hitter can achieve. Fayetteville senior Logan Stoelke did both – in the same game in Tuesday’s 14-1 Lions win over Somerville.

Lady Leps Continue to Dominate

The La Grange softball team won its 23rd game in a row Tuesday, blasting Gonzales 14-1 on the road. Alyssa Angel hit a grand slam, Hatti Moore added another homer and Riley Fisbeck hit a double and a triple to lead the Lady Leps offensive attack. Pitcher Missy Zoch pitched four scoreless innings to get the win

Leopards Win Consolation Title at Weimar Tournament

The La Grange baseball team heads into the start of district play with a full head of steam. The Leps (10-5), won three
of their four games over Spring Break, including taking the consolation title at the Weimar Tournament in dramatic fashion as Trey Supak hit a walk-off home run in the eighth inning to beat St. Joseph 2-0 Saturday

Lady Leps Blast Cuero 12-2

The winning streak continues for the Lady Leps softball team as they dominated Cuero with a 12-2 win Friday night in
La Grange. This brings their total wins to 22 in a row as they continue to be the first place team in their district and the No. 1 ranked team in their district. The game ended after the top of the fifth inning, due to a ten-run mercy rule

21 in a Row for Lady Leps

Make it 21 wins in a row now for the No. 1-ranked La Grange softball team. The Lady Leps two most recent additions to that streak came in rapid succession as the La Grange girls downed Yoakum  5-1 on the road Tuesday in their district opener and then beat Caldwell 11-0 at home Wednesday afternoon

Leps Medal at Cuero Tennis Tournament

The La Grange varsity tennis team competed at the Cuero Tennis Tournament last week. The team of Audrey Cernoch/Kelly Boening placed first in girls’ doubles, Shelby Weyand/Macy Heine placed second in girls’ doubles, Alyssa Wich placed second in girls singles, and Anthony Pechal/Avery Behrens placed third in boys’ doubles. Leps Split Four Games at Home Baseball Tournament

Mother Nature put a literal damper on La Grange’s final game of their home tournament Saturday, shortening the third place game to just four innings before mist that had fallen all night turned into a full-blown downpour. Caldwell beat La Grange 7-4 in that game.

Led by a third place finish by Brasly Vitek in the individual boys race, the La Grange golf team had a strong performance at their home tournament last week
