LG Junior Boys Win All-Star Title

A third local team has clinched a district all-star title. The La Grange Junior boys completed an undefeated run through their district tournament in Altair, capping it off with an 11-1 victory over Bellville in the title game Thursday night. To get to that title game over the last week, the La Grange boys beat Waller County 17-7, beat Washington County 13-3 and Burleson County 9-4.

County Girls Win All-Star Title

The Fayette County Junior Girls softball all-star team completed a dominant run through district play with a 20-8 victory
over Austin County Tuesday in Bellville. The Fayette County team outscored their opponents 48-14 during the course of the tournament and never lost

All-Star Action Heats Up

La Grange has its first district champion of the summer all-star season. The La Grange-American Intermediate All-Stars won the District 13 title Sunday with a 15-2 win over Grimes County- National. What’s more, the La Grange bunch won the tourney on home soil at White Rock Park.

Zoch Named 3A Player Of the Year by the TSWA

La Grange won the two top awards in Class 3A given out by the Texas Sports Writers Association All-State softball team
announced over the weekend. Lady Leps sophomore pitcher Missy Zoch, who went 31-0 this season with a 1.11 ERA and
25 complete games, was named the 3A Player of the year.

Shocker’s 16U/18U ASA softball team took second place in the June Sizzler tournament in Seguin last weekend. The Shockers team is a combination of athletes from Flatonia, La Grange, Shiner, Halletsville and Yoakum.
