Lady Leps Slide to 26th Straight Victory

The La Grange softball team proved what a gap there is between the first and second place teams in District 26-3A as the Lady Leps dominated Yoakum 10-0 Saturday afternoon. This brings La Grange’s win-streak to 26 in a row, and improves their district record to 6-0. This game was originally scheduled for Friday night, but was rescheduled due to the rainy weather.

Leps Rally from Slow Start to Beat Yoakum

Eight of the nine La Grange batters got hits, and Adam Robinson shook off some early pitching problems to hurl a gem 
as the Leps downed Yoakum 9-3 Saturday to stay perfect in district play. In a game that was postponed a day because of rain, the La Grange boys rallied from a 3-0 first inning deficit to score nine unanswered runs, highlighted by Rylan Rigden’s firstever high school home run in the fifth inning.

The La Grange baseball team stayed undefeated in district with a 3-0 win over Giddings Tuesday. “It was just a total team
win,” said Leps head coach Michael McCollum, whose team improves to 13-4 with the victory. “Trey (Supak) did a nice job
on the mound for us and we did a good job of executing our plan and putting the ball in play

Lady Leps Pull Off Dramatic Comeback

With La Grange’s 35-game district softball win-streak (which dates back to 2010) in jeopardy Tuesday, it was a couple 
of seniors that saved the day. With the Lady Leps down 3-0 going into the sixth inning, senior Abby Morgan came off the bench to pitch two scoreless innings. Then fellow senior Alyssa Angel sparked a threerun sixth inning rally before launching a walk-off solo homer in the seventh to win the game 4-3.

Lady Leps Jump Out Early for 24th Consecutive Win

SMITHVILLE – Another day, another easy win for the La Grange softball team as the Lady Leps eased past Smithville 7-2 Saturday for the club’s 24th consecutive win. It was an usual game in several respects. La Grange jumped out to a 7-0 lead by the third inning, but then were shut out the rest of the way. Meanwhile the Lady Lep batters drew a whopping 13 walks in this one, making for a very slow-moving contest.

Hot Start to District for Leps Baseball

The La Grange baseball team quickly established itself Tuesday as the favorite in the District 26-3A race. In their district opener in Gonzales, the Leps jumped all over the Apaches early and often in a 14-0 win that ended after five innings because of the 10- run mercy rule.

Stoelke Pitches No-Hitter & Hits for Cycle

Throwing a no-hitter is the ultimate accomplishment for a pitcher, while hitting for the cycle (getting a single, double,
triple and home run all in the same game) is one of the greatest accomplishments a hitter can achieve. Fayetteville senior Logan Stoelke did both – in the same game in Tuesday’s 14-1 Lions win over Somerville.

Lady Leps Continue to Dominate

The La Grange softball team won its 23rd game in a row Tuesday, blasting Gonzales 14-1 on the road. Alyssa Angel hit a grand slam, Hatti Moore added another homer and Riley Fisbeck hit a double and a triple to lead the Lady Leps offensive attack. Pitcher Missy Zoch pitched four scoreless innings to get the win
