Leps Beat RTC for First Victory of Young Season

The La Grange boys basketball team got its first win of the season Monday, downing Round Top-Carmine 73-49. The Leps (1-1) overcame a strong start by RTC, and pulled away over the final three quarters.

LG Seniors Amidst a Remarkable Turnaround Story

The La Grange football team is winning a lot lately. Heading into this Friday’s regional semifinal game against Hardin-Jefferson (11-1) the Leps have won all 12 games they’ve played this season, 25 of their last 26 games, and 34 of their last 38.

Ladies First!

The third time was indeed the charm. For the third consecutive year, the Schulenburg volleyball team made it to the state title match. But unlike the first two times when the Lady Horns walked away as state runner-ups, Saturday the Schulenburg girls came back home with gold medals around their necks

Schulenburg Wins State Volleyball Title

GARLAND – Silver wasn’t good enough anymore. For this year’s Schulenburg volleyball team nothing short of gold would do. After two years of falling just short in the state title game, the Schulenburg volleyball team dominated the opposition for
two days here at the state tournament to claim the school’s first ever state volleyball title. And what a road they had to travel to get there.

La Grange Crushes Orangefield 49-7

KATY – The games keep getting bigger, and the Leps keep playing better. La Grange pounded Orangefield 49-7 Friday in a 4A area round football playoff contest here at Rhodes Stadium, and the Leps are now one of only 16 teams left in the 4A Division II bracket.

La Grange Hoops Teams Fall

The La Grange varsity basketball teams dropped a pair of games earlier this week. The Lep boys lost their season opener 68-59 to Rockdale despite a 33-point performance by Dylan Adkins. The Leps next play Monday Nov. 24 when they host RTC

Schulenburg is State-Bound

BRENHAM – Most high school athletes would love to make it to the state tournament just once in their careers. For the members of the Schulenburg High School volleyball team, however, qualifying for the state tournament is becoming an autumn tradition

Leps Dash To a 35-0 Playoff Win

BRENHAM – The night was cold, but the Leps were on fire. Showing no signs of rust from a 13-day layoff that included 
a bye on the final week of the regular season, the La Grange football team blasted Columbus 35-0 in their 4A opening round playoff game Thursday.

Lady Horns March On

There were some tense moments for Schulenburg fans Tuesday in Brenham as the Lady Horns dropped the first two sets
of their 2A regional quarterfinal playoff match against Anderson- Shiro. But the Lady Horns (39- 8) fought back to win the final three sets to advance to Friday’s regional semifinals back at Brenham High School.
