Tri-County Cooperative Ministries is holding the Annual Reformation Festival on Sunday, Oct. 25 hosted by Faith Lutheran Church, located at 615 South Eagle Street in Weimar. Enjoy a catered meal of pork steak, double baked mashed potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert, and beverages.

Thirty-six children and youth participated in the third annual “Shine Time” Talent Show at The Remnant Church in La Grange on Aug. 12. The idea for this talent show comes from Matthew 5:16, which says, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

The Fayetteville High School and St. John’s Catholic High School classes of 1965 held their 50th school reunion on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the St. John’s Catholic Recreation Center in Fayetteville. Former students, current Fayetteville Superintendent Jeff Harvey and Fayetteville Education Foundation President Lisa Simpson also attended the special event hosted by the graduates of 1965.

Monogram Loves Kids Foundation, the fundraising arm of Monogram Foods, announced last week the winners for 2015 foundation grants. The total amount awarded is $145,000 with individual grants ranging from $1,000 to $10,000.

The regular meeting of the Court Queen of the Holy Rosary No. 2282 was called to order by Regent Brenda Fietsam on Sept. 14, 2015 at 7:05 p.m. in the Hostyn dining hall. A silent roll call found all officers present.

On Aug. 22, the Fayette County 4-H Shooting Sports Club held a Fun Shoot at the Fayette County Gun Club. Usually, the Fun Shoot is a fundraiser for the club, but this year was different. With the help of the Fayette County Gun Club, who donated the clay targets, the 4-hers decided to give all funds earned to Ronald McDonald House. On Sept. 13, the club gave Sarah Foske, representing Ronald McDonald House, a check for $2,525.

The Hostyn Catholic Daughters held a prayer blanket ceremony before the Sept. 12 meeting in the Hostyn Parish Dining Hall. Chaplain Father Dan Kahlich held a bible reading and blessed the 54 blankets, which were sewn by the CDA members of Court No. 2282 during the summer.
