Sacred Heart Holy Name Society Meets

The Sacred Heart Holy Name Society met on Monday, June 15, at the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Center for the annual social and election of officers. The social began at 6:30 p.m. with the group enjoying fellowship and a delicious fried chicken meal with refreshments.

Court Queen of the Holy Rosary Meets, Welcomes New Member

The regular meeting of the Court Queen of the Holy Rosary No. 2282 was held on June 8, at 7 p.m. in the Hostyn dining hall. The meeting was opened with the CDA prayer and pledges to the American and Texas flags. Regent Brenda Fietsam welcomed the twenty one members and introduced to the Court, Barbara Charba, the Court’s soon to be newest member. The Court did their renwal as Charba recited the CDA pledge.

Fayette County 4-Hers Compete at State 4-H Roundup

Numerous Fayette County 4-Hers competed and participated in the 2015 Texas 4-H Roundup in College Station on June 9-12. Roundup is the culmination of years of hard work and dedication for youth throughout the State of Texas. The Fayette County Record also traveled to Texas 4-H Roundup.

Marquise Bryant, the son of Consuelo Riascos and John Dobbins of La Grange, and the grandson of Errissie and L.A. Conner graduated on May 15 from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston.

Quilt Guild to Hear from Houston Quilter

On Tuesday, June 23 at 7 p.m., Cynthia Collier, a quilter from Houston, will be speaking at the monthly meeting of the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild. Cynthia Collier is an awardwinning quiltmaker as well as an antique quilt collector, teacher and pattern designer. She found her passion for quilting in 1986 after taking a sampler class and learning the basics from seasoned quilters in rural Tennessee.

Round Top State Bank Joins FCTA

eager to serve them. Fayette County Tourism Association and its growing number of business
patrons aim at promoting the county as a visitor distination. Ronny Sacks, president and CEO of
