p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Center in La Grange. The event began with a Prayer and a Pledge of Allegiance to the U.S. Flag.

Hostyn Youth Volunteer in Austin

Youth from the Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hostyn participated in a mission trip to Austin through Just 5 Days, a service learning experience for youth in grades six to eight. While in Austin, they volunteered at Community First! Village, a 27 acre master-planned community that provides affordable, sustainable housing and a supportive community for the disabled and chronically homeless in Central Texas.

JCDA Members Attend Convention

Nine members of the Junior Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Annunciation No. 1962 attended the 26th Biennial State JCDA Convention held June 26-28 at the Emerald Beach Hotel in Corpus Christi. The convention’s theme was “Footprints in the Sand.” Court Annunciation Counselor Peggy Supak is also currently Co-Chairman for the State JCDA and helped plan and coordinate events during the convention.
