David Anthony Collins

David Anthony Collins, 59, died March 24, 2015. David was born Nov. 2, 1955. He grew up in La Grange and attended the La Grange schools graduating in 1974. He later attended Blinn Collegeand received an Associate Degree in 1976. David went to work in the plumbing trade and did commercial installations in La Grange, Katy, Columbus, Port Alto, and several other surrounding cities. David changed his career path and began ultra high purity piping installations for the semiconductor industry in Austin, Dallas, Plano, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Utah, Fishkill, New York, San Diego, Calif., Colorado Springs, Colo, Manassas, Va., Richmond, Va., and many others. David was preceded in death by his mother Joan Collins, father George Collins, brother Jimmy Collins. He is survived by his sons, James and wife Tania and grandchildren Trinity, Brittney, and Troy and also son Michael and wife Tina and granddaughter Kaleigh and also three great grandchildren Aubrey, Madison, and Jayden.

Daniel Howard Frey

Daniel Howard Frey, 66, died in Houston on March 16, 2015. A celebration of Dan Frey’s life is scheduled for Thursday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at The Vineyard Church of Houston, in the Heights, 1035 East 11th Street, Houston Texas, 77009, with lunch to follow. Pastor Herschel Rosser will officiate. All are welcome to attend and pay their respects. Dan is survived by his mother, Sarah Frey of Lakeland, Fla.; wife Shirley; son Jeffrey and wife Stephanie, two grandsons, Wesley and Colton of Houston; brother Wesley and sister Carol of Lakeland, Fla.; He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley W. Frey, in July 2004. Dan was born on Nov. 20, 1948 in Staten Island, New York to Wesley and Sarah Frey. He was a happy child, loved family gatherings and hanging out with friends. He was accomplished in school and received advanced training in information technology and business management. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley, while still a teenager in 1970.

Cordes

Wilbur Wright “Bill” Cordes, 94, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in La Grange. Wilbur was born in Fayetteville in 1920, the eldest son of Alfred H. and Louise (Hoffmann) Cordes. He was married to Evelyn (Ford) Cordes for more than 70 years. Wilbur was known to many as “Bill” or the “Rainbow Man”. He received world recognition as a distributor and salesman for the Rainbow Company, because of his energy, dedication and achievements. He is survived by daughter, Russelle (Cordes) Heard and husband, Dow; daughter, Anne Hanson and husband, Daniel; son, John Fields; granddaughter, Bowen Cordes (Hunter) Giffin and husband, Victor; granddaughter, Heather L. Heard; extended family of granddaughters and grandsons; his brother, Alfred H. Cordes, Jr. and wife, Charlene; and many nieces and nephews.
