Wayne Douglas Kieke

Wayne Douglas Kieke, 63 of Carmine, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the College Station Medical Center. Wayne was born on July 1, 1951 in Houston, the son of Kermit August Kieke and Fairy Nell (Birkelbach) Kieke. He was a Registered Nurse who worked at area nursing homes for years. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Sammy Bonner of Giddings; three nephews, Keith Bonner, Brian Bonner and his wife, Shana and Shane Bonner all of Mississippi; two great nieces, Ashton Pierce and her husband, Jeremy and Shandi Bonner, all of Mississippi; one great nephew, Kameron Bonner of Mississippi; one great, great nephew, Alden Pierce of Mississippi; uncle and aunts, Dan and Ila Kieke of Burton and Virleen Fischer of Giddings as well as many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit Kieke and Fairy Nell Kieke Behrens. Graveside services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the La Bahia Cemetery in Burton.

Milton Geroge

Milton Geroge “Cookie” Candrick, 55, of La Grange, died March 7, 2015. Milton was born Dec. 25, 1959 to Thelma Devroe. Survivors include his mother; daughter, Shunta Bailey; brother, Michael Devroe and sister-in-law, Terrill; five grandkids; special friend Karen Wallace; and a host nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at New Bethel Baptist Church in La Grange on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Austin Jones will officiate. Tommy E. Taylor Funeral Home in La Grange is in charge of arrangements.

Annette Stolle Youens

Annette Stolle Youens, 83, of Columbus, died on March 3, 2015 in Cedar Park. She was born on July 22, 1931 to Wilhelm T. and Emilie (Chollett) Stolle in Columbus. She graduated in 1948 from Columbus High School. She married Jim T. Youens at St. Paul in Columbus on Sept. 11, 1948. She is survived by her daughters, Gail Sabian of Cedar Park, and Jill Ready and husband Daryl of Moore, Okla.; son, Alan Youens and wife Meg of Atlanta, Texas; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothersin- law and sisters-in-law, Wanda Stolle, Gladys Stolle, MacRae and Ruth Gross, and Alfred andCarol Youens.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim T. Youens, parents, sister, Esther Frers, and brothers, Leon Stolle, Herman Stolle, Wilbert Stolle, Lennardt Stolle, and Elmer Stolle. Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus with Pastor Alan Kethan officiating. Burial took place in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus.
