Escolastica (Sanchez) Moreno

Escolastica (Sanchez) Moreno, 88, of Ledbetter, died Friday, March 21, 2014. Escolastica was born in Tula Tamaulipas, Mexico on April 20, 1925, the daughter of Diego and Juliana Sanchez. She is survived by her husband, Jemeterio LL Moreno; five sons: Quirino Moreno of West Point; Juan, Jesus, Mario and Felix Moreno; three daughters: Meteria and Rufina Moreno and Alma Segundo; and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Tula Tamaulipas, Mexico and burial will follow at EJ Miguel Hidalgo Cemetery. John Perkins

John Perkins, 84, of Springtown, died March 9, 2014. He was born Feb. 22, 1933 in Port Arthur the son of Henry Irby and Edna Melder Irby. He was adopted into the Perkins family in 1951. He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Betty Joyce Perkins, and his father and mother.

A memorial service was held Friday, March 14, 1 p.m. at Koenig and Strickland Funeral Home in La Grange. Remains were interred in Prairie Lea Cemetery, Brenham.

He is survived by his wife, Danielle Harrison Perkins, of Springtown; his daughter, Kimberly Perkins Maldonado of Springtown; two sons, Orville Perkins and Richard Perkins, of Arlington; two foster sons, Charles Sigbornson and Carl Forrest of Arlington; four grandchildren: Josh E. Gates (Brenda) of Baytown, Briana, Alana and Trey Maldonado of Springtown; and one great-granddaughter, Paige Elizabeth Gates, of Baytown.

Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home of La Grange was in charge of arrangements.

Eugelyn Ann Bing

Eugelyn Ann Bing passed away comfortably at her home on March 16, 2014. A graveside service was held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Cemetery. She was born on Dec. 25, 1928. She was the daughter of Eugene and Amanda Roensch Mach. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert and sister, Sybil Bostian. 
She is survived by her brother Eugene Mach and wife Gladys and nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church of La Grange  Fayette Memorial Funeral Home in La Grange was in charge of arrangements.

Debra Ann Krenek, 54, of Fayetteville, died on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. Visitation was held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Knesek Chapel in  Fayetteville. Family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Services were held at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville, at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014. Kendall Bradshaw Macdaniel

Kendall Bradshaw Macdaniel died peacefully and gracefully on Monday, March 10, 2014 at home with her family. She was born on February 17, 1935 in Waco, Texas. Kendall was the only child of Horace William (Bill) Bradshaw and Louise Basenberg Bradshaw. She moved to San Antonio while in elementary school and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1953. Kendall went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Texas in Austin where she was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. Clinton Rudolph Bippert

Clinton Rudolph Bippert, 79, of La Grange, died on Monday, March 10, 2014 at St. David’s Medical Center in Austin.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Koenig & Strickland Funeral Home. Family received friends from 4 to 7 p.m. A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Services were held at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, La Grange, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2014. Burial followed in the La Grange City Cemetery. Clinton was born in La Coste, on March 13, 1934, the son of Rudolph and Edna (Haby) Bippert. He married Evelyn Marie Friesenhahn  on September 1, 1953 in LaCoste. Clinton was the Fayette County Extension Agent in La Grange and retired after 33 years of service. He was also the hunting safety instructor for Fayette County since 1972. He was a 1955 graduate of
Texas A&M University with a BA and MA degree in Ag Education. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church
