When news broke that a 13-year-old girl was abducted during school at Flatonia ISD Monday and later assaulted and
left in a field, television crews from Austin converged on the small town and neighboring school districts went on high
alert. La Grange superintendent Randy Albers sent out an automated call to the hundreds of parents of LGISD students saying, in part, “La Grange schools are on alert this morning due to an incident at a neighboring school district.”
