On Nov. 21, 1963, Bill Bailey and his classmates from Cole High School on Ft. Sam Houston Army Base in San Antonio
were bused across town to Brooks Air Force Base to view the dedication of the School of Aerospace Medicine by President
John F. Kennedy. This is regarded as Kennedy’s last official act as president. He was assassinated in Dallas the next day.
